The Moravian Gallery in Brno, the second largest art museum in the Czech Republic,
is exceptional for the wide range of artistic disciplines it covers.
It is the only institution in the coutry collecting visual art that is concerned with paintig,
drawing, graphic art and sculpture -from the past and the present -
as well as photography, applied art and design.


The Moravian Gallery in Brno comprises five buildings in total.
Four of these are in Brno - they include Museum of Applied Arts,
the Pražák Palace and Governor's place.
Another building is the former house of Dušan S. Jurkovič,
The Jurkovič House in Brno-Žabovřesky. Since 2006, the Moravian Gallery
is in charge, in collaboration with the MAK in Vienna, of Josef Hoffmann's Birthplace,
